In our latest edition of low lighting sneaker-related stupidity, we bring you this case out of Akron, Ohio, the hometown of a former headband-wearing, all-world professional basketball player.
Horace M. Johnson II of Akron, Ohio was charged with aggravated burglary and improperly discharging a firearm at a habitation after an incident this past Friday.
According to police, Johnson showed up at the residence, which is on Sumner Street, near East South Street in Akron, just after 9:30 p.m. and argued with a resident over a pair of sneakers. a woman at the house demanded that Johnson leave and the door was locked behind him. The woman heard two gunshots hit the house; the woman ran upstairs to the attic and called 911.
Johnson then climbed a tree and snuck inside the home through an open window. He was apprehended and held down by several people held him down until cops arrived. Mr. Johnson was then taken into custody and remains in the Summit County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
